WATCH FOR STUMP ARMOUR ON WWW.INDIEGOGO.COM IN THE NEAR FUTURE. DEC. 2014 UPDATE: The design change has come through. The new Plastic models need a little work and then will be recasted. I wasn't happy with the last test cast and I'm working on having patterns/wax molds made for consistency in quality. As soon at the next iteration of castings are
complete and we do a little testing the aluminum version will be available for purchase. Shortly thereafter the crowd funding campaign will launch and sets will be first sold there. The more money we make on Indiegogo the more free sets we can give away. Finally got a couple new videos. Check em out. FOR YOU GUYS DOWN IN BRAZIL:
I've noticed a lot of website visits from all over but I get just as many from Brazil as I do in the US. I'd like to send a couple free sets down that way when everything is ready and get some feedback from you. I want to know if there is anything specific you guys need down there to make this work. I also have some other plans I'm working on but I won't have a functioning shop for development for several months. New items will come slow. I also have a plan for a "Jiu Jitsu safe" prosthetic setup so you can use your legs more when training and competing. I've found that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a great martial art for amputees. That one may take a while. Send messages to TSGREENSMACHINES@GMAIL.COM
STUMP ARMOUR A STUBBY PROSTHETIC FOOT FOR DOUBLE ABOVE KNEE AMPUTEES
The first product this company is bringing to market is a low-cost stubby prosthetic foot called Stump Armour. The device is designed specifically for double above knee amputees to maximize their mobility close to the ground. The foot minimizes effort to stand up from any position, to move short distances, reach items on the ground, lift heavy objects, or simply work out. In my case it significantly reduces strain on the lower back. It also allows the amputee to naturally place the femurs in the best possible position for their lower back, due to the rounded design. .
Access to prosthetic equipment should be a right and not a privilege.
Green's Machines LLC will strive to keep costs low so individuals with little or no insurance coverage will be able to afford to purchase Stump Armour. There are over 2 million amputees in the US and that number grows by 185,000 every year. US insurance providers spend 12 billion annually in this market. Worldwide over 1 million amputations are performed yearly. A small percentage of the US amputee population will be able to use this affordable foot but we also are exploring international and potential humanitarian applications. This direction may include several variations and accessories that still need to be developed.
Stump Armour is patent pending.
Stump Armour doesn't look like a human foot. It doesn't need to. It just needs to work.
– Unique product
– Maximizes mobility – Can minimize back strain
– Individuals having difficulty with traditional prosthetics may be able to use Stump Armour
